Dr. Erin Dunleavy
Director

Dr. Erin Dunleavy serves as the Director of Assessment for the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy at Wilkes University, where she leads initiatives in data analytics and visualization to support evidence-based decision-making. Her work is grounded in a commitment to continuous improvement and institutional effectiveness.


Before joining Wilkes University, Dr. Dunleavy was the Project Manager for the Autism Collaborative Centers of Excellence at The University of Scranton. In this role, she oversaw the Executive Hub for community referrals for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) services and coordinated with several nonprofit organizations across a 13-county region with grants from the AllOne Foundation, to enhance autism services and community outreach.


Dr. Dunleavy also brings experience from the healthcare sector, having served as Assistant Director of Assessment at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and as a Ryan White HIV/AIDS Medical Case Manager, where she supported individuals navigating complex medical and social systems.


She holds a PhD in Human Development with a concentration in Higher Education Administration from Marywood University. Additionally, she earned master’s degrees in History from The University of Scranton and in Psychology from Marywood University, along with a certificate of advanced graduate study in Applied Behavior Analysis from The University of Scranton. Her academic journey began at Lycoming College, where she earned a BA in History and a BS in Psychology.


Dr. Dunleavy’s passion for autism advocacy was sparked during her undergraduate years, when she roomed with an autistic student. That experience left a lasting impression and shaped her perspective: “There’s a difference between knowing about autism and living with someone with autism.” This insight continues to guide her work, reminding her of the importance of empathy and understanding as individuals adapt to the world around them
